I'm blinging out my scoot (yes I still have a scooter. lol.) and desire input as to a chrome pipe. The choice is between a Stage 6 Pro Replica or Technigas RSII 70 - both CE marked. I am leaning toward the the RSII 70 even though it costs a bit more. SPMoto is the vendor. It's for a 48mm TP Trophy Series sucking a 21 PHBG. I may raise the cylinder 0.5mm and ditch the head gasket. Other than that I'll just be opening up the xfer bottoms. Am I making the right call on the pipe?. :stumped: :itshere: :dunno:

Not really an "expert" but:
On page 2 of Brent's 90cc build thread (in the tech section) he has a chart up of 2 cycle timing vs. rpm. Check the timing of your engine and, using that chart, determine at what rpm the power is arriving.
Buy whichever pipe "arrives" at the same time (or a little earlier) by checking the dyno graphs on each pipe.
What you are trying to avoid: an engine (fairly mild) that "arrives" @6500 rpm matched with a pipe that "arrives" @ 9500 rpm.

The cylinder should rev to 11,000 but I don't really like to operate consistently above the low 10s. I've modded the travel of my variator and torque driver pulleys and the revs dropped close to 1500 rpm with (if I remember correctly) the stock soft contra spring and 36g. of roller mass so I'm hoping for a cruising zone closer to 9000 and my roller mass will probably be close to 30g. or a little less.
The RSII 70 looks to have a less steep baffle taper which should support revving past the max power point of the pipe. Long pipes are da bomb for street running in my book.

personaly i would go with the stage 6 over the rsII i know the stage 6 rocks good on a tp trophy kit you do have to be carefull if you didnt up grade the crank that pipe will rev into the kill the crank zone with that pipe

Reg, Without knowing the dimensions its just a guess..The stage 6 appears to have a 3 stage diffuser which is tops in making a long powerband, quality looks a bit better too..Unless you can find some real tests, all I can say is go with what tickles your fancy!!

That's a lot of restriction. Does that come in CE marked pipes?

SPMOTOSTORE was out of the Stage 6 Pro Replica Chrome. Hope I'll be happy. At this moment I am planning on selling the Atlantis when I am happy with the cosmetics. Although I probably went against the consensus advice here I appreciate all of you guy's input.
