Hey guys! I just remembered I was apart of this website, and a lot has happened since the last time I was here. I forget if you can check what postings I have had, but just in case you can’t, I USED to own a Vento Triton R4 scooter. I had been working on this scooter for over a year and a half, and considering this was the first bike I had ever owned, I had spent too many hours on it for my taste. It didn’t help that I couldn’t ride it, because it had little to no torque. I eventually decided, hey, I should sell this so that I can refresh myself with a new project. So, naturally, I posted this scooter on facebook marketplace for $200 (Remember this amount) considering it didn’t run after I replaced the piston head and piston. Some guy offered to trade me this Kawasaki G5100 for my scooter, and I was insanely excited! Turns out, a dirt bike is what I wanted to get for my next project, and I didn’t even have to spend time or money getting a new one!!! All went well, it was the exact same bike I saw in the picture. When we met up, I explained to him the next steps I would have taken to get it running (At this point I was so sick of the same outcome every time I tried to get it running, I gave up to prevent any more heart break). The two things I said were: 1. Change the fuel to ethanol free (I was using E10 even though it was a 2 stroke, I’m sorry but I guess my stubborn self had to learn the hard way) 2. Jet the carburetor. After we traded, he sent me a message (That’s how we coordinated to trade) and said, “btw, this things is a monster, it maxes out the speedometer!” My heart sunk. TWO STEPS AWAY AND I GAVE IT UP:( Also, my dad found a post of the scooter with the EXACT SAME PICTURES that I used in my post, posted by the guy I traded with. Except this time, he was selling the scooter for $600. After a lot of thinking though, I can’t be mad, it wasn’t this other guys fault, he was just doing business. I decided to be happy for him, because if i was in his shoes, I would do the same thing without hesitation. So that’s my lovely screw up:)
So continuing about the dirt bike, can I still post about dirt bikes and motorcycles on this forums? I didn’t see anything on the rules about it, so I think it would be ok, but the website is literally called “49ccscoot.”
