I have used parts for scooters with no problems. There are other reputable shops out there too.You could go the amazon/e bay route but that's a bigger risk.

Partsforscooters is great. Very good folks and prices reasonable.
I also like scooterworks, scootertuning.ca, get2it.
Have also used scooterpartsco, racingplanetusa, gy6store, dynoscooter, and scooterpartshop without issues.
With bore kits or essential parts, I would go with a reputable scooter parts specialist such as those above rather than Amazon, but that's just me.

I found this for $79. How does gy6 differ from qmb?

A lot of people call 139QMB a GY6 generically.
If you're going the bigger BBK, make sure you put in a good aftermarket crankshaft. A stock crank can handle a 47mm BBK, but not the power of the bigger BBK kits.

It was rebranded a few years back after HOCA closed. You can still find some HOCA branded product, but everything HOCA is moving or has moved to the SSP-G brand. Matt

+1 on SSP-G. Am running their 54mm cylinder on my 103. I also have their throttle cable and variator the Yamati. Very happy with quality of the parts. fugaziiv Thanks for the info on that. I noticed that as Hoca was disappearing SSP-G was showing up with a lot of the same part numbers. Nice to have confirmation.

I was HOCA's sole US importer, and we own SSP-G... so straight from the horse's mouth I guess. Matt

Thanks for moving me to this forum. What's the largest BBK I can get without machining the cases? I get Amazon ads for 100cc BBBKs. Should the BBK be matched to a larger venturi carb?
TIA,
kevino

TIA, kevino 52.4mm is the largest. And if you get a head with bigger valves, you can run a 24mm CVK carb for 150cc scoots, or even better, a 21 or 24mm OKO flat side carb, or Mikuni carburetor. You need a different throttle cable for the OKO or Mikuni, bit it's worth it
