I am looking for any experienced small engine guru's to help me complete a checklist of good things to have on hand when rebuilding a mina. I gotta order a few bearings n such, and I'd like to try and order all at once so when it comes down to it, i dont get stuck for a week waiting for something I forgot or over looked.
Im putting a new crank in her. My trans components are all okay, and already inspected my piston and rings, and cylinder walls so the jug and piston are being transferred to the donor crank.
Not sure if I'll need a complete gasket kit(15.00) or if squeeze tube sealant will be okay for the case halves?
So far my list consists of : ? complete gasket kit ? base gasket head gasket wrist pin bearing spare circlips (just in case)
I already have crank bearings on the crank and we have a press here so Im hoping it'll work to get the crank in and cases together. Is there any other items i should consider before the teardown/ parts order process??

Case sealer (no gaskets for that) I like ThreeBond 1194
Base gasket(s)
Head gasket
Reed gaskets (2, 3 if you use a spacer, other option is a sealer)
Wrist pin bearing
Circlips
Exhaust gasket (and/or Copper RTV works on some pipes)
Main bearings
Crank seals
I think that should cover anything you'd have to order. Otherwise a nice selection of cleaners and RTV is always good to have on hand. 2T oil as assembly lube. WD-40 to spray stuff before and after the freezer if you use those methods. If you're baking the cases, you wanna drain the gear oil. If you decide to pull that trans apart then you need a gasket for it, plus the gear oil. Fresh spark plug is nice with a fresh motor.
