I just stopped watching this inexperienced learner just after he mentioned the expandy things in the variable, this not the best way to learn about transmission repairs, quite the opposite in fact,if your reading this because you have a problem use the directory icon on the left of this page to find some informed videos.

I just can’t I can’t watch this guy A fellow Pennsylvanian videotaping his first foray into scooter mechanics. I made it into the floppy starter gear that he diagnosed as not right. Then he finally found the bearing in the cover. I quit at that point. I’d love to see him diagnose toast stuck in a toaster with a fork.

I give people credit for trying to learn to work on stuff themselves. I get myself into plenty of trouble that way. That said, the only part that bothers me is that it appears to be a job for a customer. You've always got to be up for something new if you want to work on things for other people, but generally you have some idea of what you're doing. Sorry to the poster, but if you put a variator in backwards, that qualifies as no clue what you were doing IMO. Again, watch my vids and you'll see some dumb mistakes, but I don't try to do stuff that I'm way new on for paying customers.
In the end it all worked out though, right? Sort of. The scoot will work. I hope it goes a long time without issue. However, the belt looked frayed where it ran against the case. If the chords in there were damaged, that belt could potentially fail prematurely. Possibly way prematurely.
Also, I couldn't make out what belt was put on there. Could be a great one. Could be junk. Not sure. Someone that is not used to these, may not be aware of how bad cheap belts can be. I once used a generic Chinese belt (on my own scooter) that lasted 8 miles. No zeroes missing there. It broke in 8 miles on a 30MPH 4T. It's not cool being the repair guy or the customer if a belt breaks in 8 miles or even 500 miles.

I'm all for learning and trying but why video it and call parts thingys if ur gonna post a educational video be educational and I'm not one to really put down I've gotten myself into plenty of shit I wasn't totally knowledgeable on that's how u learn but I did not video myself doing it and I would never take a paying job on something I wasn't sure I'd be able to do professionally
