I’m trying to wrap my head around this engine. It’s your garden variety e22 Honda clone engine. It’s my understanding it’s a 50.
from my research it’s should be stamped 139fmb
139 denotes 50cc
f=air cooled
M= motorcycle
B should also mean 50cc
mine is marked with a D
the 70cc engine should be marked 147fmD
so is mine a 50 or a 70? I’m still early in my research but I’m not having much luck finding performance parts for an engine this small
i recon I should not get emotionally involved with the numbers and let my calipers answer my questions for me.
are these engines faster than say a 139qmb (assuming it’s a 50 and not a 70). I got it as part of a trade and I may as well do something fun with it. I just wish I could find more info. I’m sure it’s out there but I’m not sure if I’m looking for the right thing. Most forums refer to the bike it came from and not the actual engine.
