Waiting for parts is hard, when you just want to get stuck in.

So far so good.. I now have a clutch that grips the bell,, so the scooter is running the best as of til today,, but far far from what I want from it.. Top speed is between 60-70kmt,, and acceleration is very poor.. Let me show a few pics of my cvt setup: Just a picture to show the area of where the clutch grips.. Much better than previous configurations.. The rear pulley is standard 115mm.. I do have some 122mm that fits,, but then Im unsure of what belt to use.. This is the current tension on the clutch springs.. I still have room to make them harder.. The belt Im currently using My Malossi multivar,, currently with 6 gram rollers,, but I have different weight to swap between.. And it does not at all run full out.. I have been test running all day,, and still feel Im very very far away from my goal in optimizing this engine.. Any suggestions on how to improve performance ?? I also have alot of shimms,, none used atm tho.. - Frederik

Having a tachometer will really help set up the CVT.

With Your CVT at rest how many mm is left of travel on the back pulley .
That looks like over 8mm or more on the front pulley of travel to go if you have a similar amount out back you may be able to go up a belt size .
As far as shiming up front you want it to hit rock bottom but tight enough so it still grips the front pulley when you manually turn it .

That's it!!! I give up!!!!
Made a quick sale and sold the Stage 6 Mk2 cylinderkit..
For the money I instantly ordered a Stage 6 Streetrace 70ccm cylinderkit instead.. Should arrive Tuesday.. Hope it gets a little bit easier with a sport cylinder

That's a great kit. One of my favourites.

That's a great kit. One of my favourites. Yeah several people has recommended that kit for me I just knew,, if I kept running alu cylinder on an air cooled machine I would detonate the setup eventually.. Cast iron is way more solid

It's a really good compromise between reliability, and performance.

Holy Was it a new bearing? This seems to be an on going thing on the forum lately.

That sucks big time. The plethora of indentations in the crown and head and the gouging of skirts and bore are all common when a pin bearing goes, but taking off a chunk of the crown is spectacular in the worst way.
Any details of the event or the bearing used? RPM, any rattle warning sign, happen right off or miles in, etc...

It was a Stage 6 bearing I had laying around for a while.. Used a few times and no signs of any flaws at all..
It was the first ride,, only got like 100 meters away from my house,, running around 20kmt max.. Since it was the first run I rode the throttle very lightly..
There was a small rattling sound,, but to be honest I just tought it was the parts from the starter engine rattling a little bit,, so not taking any serious notice of that.. But now I know what I do,, I should have investigated it..
