I want more power out of it and I know for that I also need to replace the CDI unit, this model has one of those combined cdi+ignition coil units and I was wondering if I have to replace the whole thing with a performance one or can I just replace the cdi and basically plug this one out leave it there and plug the new one in while not touching the ignition coil part?

If it's the iget 3V motor you need this kit with the intake, and injection module.

You didn't post your location, is this a 2 stroke in Europe? The 4 valve Primavera has separate CDI and coil but the 2 stroke has the old CDI on coil. There are upgrades for both.

Wow this model came with lots of different engines. Mine is the 4v engine and the later were 3v FI engine, Europe saw a 2stroke engine and this has the 2v engine.

With the LX that preceded the primavera. We had a two stroke, four stroke 2-valve version of the Piaggio HI-PER4 engine until 2008 when the 50cc LX continued with a 4-valve version. Then with the primavera 50 went to a 3V iget engine.

We think the Chinese just throw whatever parts are handy in their scooters.
