Hey there Scoot forum. I was given the task of making a 90CC Pantera ATV start working again after 15 years of sitting still. I have compression but no spark. I have tested the stator, ignition coil, battery, starter solenoid, spark plug, etc. and I am still not getting spark. It was working fine one day, then the next it was no longer working. I figured the CDI went bad so purchased a new one, but that didn't help. To top it all off I have no idea what year this is and finding a manual seems rather challenging as well. Anyone with any advice on where to go from here, i'd love to hear. Thank you all again for your help!

Check keyswitch, kill switch, unplug and replug all electrical connectors. Look for rodent damage to the wires if it sat that long. Why was it sitting so long?

You can check the kill wire on the CDI to see if it's getting a ground when it's supposed to be in run mode (key on, kill switch to run). What you should see is that the kill switch or key off will supply a ground to that wire to disable the ignition and when both are on/run the ground will not be present. The same would be true if there are any other safety features (with scoots an example would be a side stand switch that disables the ignition when the stand is down). Here is some ignition troubleshooting info. Check reluctor/pickup gap if you haven't. I have had a no start be that simple before. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/post/8068/thread

let's narrow it down to "no spark" after checking everything.
in my experience of no spark:
1. the wire going to the coil was corroded/oxidized under the insulation. could not tell by looking at the wire. found out by trying to strip back insulation to install a new female spade connector. wire inside insulation was oxidized and broken under the insulation.
2. spark plug cap not properly engaged onto spark plug. some scooters use a cap that requires you to remove the nipple off the spark plug. the cap engages by a clip. over time, the steel clip can corrode and the cap no longer passes electricity properly to the plug. if you have a rubber plug cap, then you should be okay. it's a problem with the plastic plug caps.
3. last thing i can think of is Ground. battery grounded? coil grounded? engine grounded?
