I thought fixing up this eurostrada rx8 was gonna be a walk in the park. its got the same body style, same engine as my triton, same wheels, tire size, etc... What some call a b-series body style.
Im looking to replace the ignition switch. I thought it had the four pin style like my triton, and zip, but it has a five pin connector. Now i can find five pin switches on the internet, but the plugs dont match mine.im kinda dumbfounded. the kit that scrappy sells, as well as a few people on ebay as being for b series chasis: everything is the same and will work, except the ignition switch connector.
i noticed that one difference between my triton and this strada is that the lights come on automatically, where on my triton u have to manually flip em on.
the plan was to order the b series chasis ignition kit(which comes with fuel cap, seat lock, oil jug lock, and ignition), put the new stuff on my triton, and put the tritons on the strada.
Is there a way to wire the tritons 4 wire ignition to the strada's 5 wire ignition and have everything operate normally?

4 wires should be (colors as on my Tritons, may vary) :
Battery + (Red) Switched + (Red/White) Ground (Black) Kill Circuit (Dark Green)
So what's the 5th on the Strada heading to?
Bat + and Switched + are one function of the ign. Open key off, closed key on. Ground and Kill are the other function. Closed key on, open key off.

www.scooterpartsplace.com/scooter-ignition-switch-5-wire.aspxI actually found one here. but man is it pricey. they got nice michelin scooter tires that i'd like to git. but u can enlarge the pic and it shows a 6 pin female plug with only five wires going thru it. I will trace some wires tonight or see if i can find an electrical schematic.
