I can,t hide from these forever, they seem ideal for my commute, in the U.K. I can buy one for £1,500 brand new OTR,while I make a list of pros and cons I thought I,d ask the forum the model I am looking at is a Keeway e-zi my main concern is the 28mph top speed if I can,t change that to 35mph it,s a deal breaker and I willl stay under my rock, but rules are elastic the parts listing specifys a 45kph controller so I assume a faster one is available or you can by pass it I have googled it etc but no joy just yet. How much does a charge cycle cost, how long will the battery last, will it be repairable?? I don't,t understand the tech used and I would hate to just "use " it and get another one when it fails. I heard tell of a 2013 Yamaha electric that has done 200 miles over the years but is up for sale £84 because the battery has timed it,s self out ,just shut off maybe urban myth ,your thoughts gents. I was talking to the local Peugeot dealer last summer. He sells electric mopeds. He was telling me, they are way better than petrol 50cc. Pull away much faster. That was the Niu range. Yamaha have only just started building an electric scooter. My old dealer has been selling Niu for years. The yamaha looks good. Only 2 1/2 hour charge, but over £2,500! Like you said it's knowing how to remove the limiter. I'm sure it can be done, but it's knowing how.

geoffh there is a forum that's been going for years covering electric vehicles of all sorts and very knowledgeable people on there. I re programmed a 250w bicycle limited to 15mph to 35mph, not that I could pedal fast enough for the pedal assist to get me there but 25 was achievable so bigger motor must be. Site is called endless sphere not sure if there is a dash in the middle. I shall try and find it later and send you a link. There you go endless-sphere.com/forums/

milly I'm looking at electric. My state recognizes electric mopeds in its laws. My concern is most of these r made n China, and quality is based on if you have a dealer n ur area. I'm waiting on a NIU dealer to move n my area. The M1 I'm sure will meet my state's "moped" rules. Still waiting.

I get that impression. Just waiting for enough of them to get on the road here in the US. It would be hard to give up my LX. It's running so well now.
