Took my ruck out of moth balls and got it running. Took it over and got in inspected. Now I’m modifying a zen kustomz front foot rest to fit. Going for a ride tomorrow. I’ll take more pics when I get it out in the sunlight. Man I’m so stoked to have this bike. She’s my baby.

Got it to fit. I redid the whole “floorboard.” Time for a ride tomorrow!

Nice installation. Looks very neat. Don't you worry about them touching down on cornering? Or is the higher spacing enough to avoid this?

Rode 80 miles today. The bike is still running well, but my back! Feels like hard miles.

I had to revert the original footrest this morning for the old one. The new one is going to take some more work. I’m not even sure I like the new one. I might just keep it like this. I took those pics this morning before I took off.
Took a little while to get used too (again). Much different than what I have been riding . After 39 miles tho, it all came back to me.
What I wish I had was some kind of pocket or something to put stuff instead of in my jacket. I could just reach in and grab whatever I need. Allen wrench’s and stuff. I carried a minute set of metric Allen’s in my pocket instead.

I'm surprised no one makes even a small tray sort of thing to go under the lowered seat frames for at least some small tool and such storage. Do the seats still flip up with those frames? Maybe even some sort of thin bag attached to the bottom of the seat itself. How about that rear part of the front cover where wires hide having a small compartment? Not much room in any of those ideas, but should at least be comparable to what you can carry around in your pockets and big bikes have used small storage spots for tools and registration and whatnot forever.

The best thing I’ve found is this waterproof yeti thing. And yes, since it’s a yeti, it’s a little expensive. But it’s the best and comes in handy for non scoot stuff. www.yeti.com/en_US/bags/sidekick-dry/YSKD.html#pos=10Those sell out faster than they can make them. Texas company too. They got Velcro straps on the back. They can strap around anything. A modded ruck like mine has nothing. The seat flip up has been removed. It’s all frame and engine. No frills.

I use the yeti waterproof duffel on long distance rides on my Vespa and it’s airtight. So I can capture some air in there and it makes for a backrest. I love yeti.

I use my rucksak on every ride, fits perfectly under the dorf frame.
