Gaiters on and found a spare Vespa master cylinder in spares box to replace the seized one. Glad i checked threads on banjo bolt as both different but we now have a working front disc.   |

Time to tinker in the shed for a change. Changed master cylinder for a new one i found and carb changed and got engine running smoothly. Battery tray put back and floor. Hunt out new indicator switch next.    |

New rear light fitted and working. Next today is Speedo wiring and tidy a few bits up. Soon be time look for another project.

Mostly back together now with the aid of a bit of wood filler and random nuts and bolts and screws. Everything works just need to cable tie some electric wiring out the way and bolt down the seat bucket. Best check oil can't remember if I changed it most likely not and a registration plate tomorrow. Actually looks tidier in pics than real life. But it is a Rat scoot. Don't need anything to impress the girls at my age.😃 Was going to put some custom bits on but to much faffing about will sell those on fleabay.    |

Just road tested the Rat, changed oil runs ok but carb may want cleaning we'll see. Just make a battery cover and off for the mot. Looks much better parked by greenery hides a lot of it 😃   |

when i saw the number plate, i sarcastically thought, Billboard... like mount it on a pole and put up high like a bicycle flag. but after thinking about it, it is probably that big due to Safety, especially of the plate is reflective.

It's the law. They have to be a certain size. Without the correct size plate it won't pass the yearly vehicle inspection. We have the largest licence plates in Europe. 😞 |
