So I have an old Yamaha Vino 2007 50cc moped that no longer starts. The electrical start has not worked for years so I have relied on kick starting only. Up until 2 days again it would work fairly well. The majority of time it would kick start easily, although starting a few weeks ago there were times that it might take a couple kicks to get going but it would run great with no issues after starting up. I have done some things to see whats wrong but at this point im lost.
When I try to kick start the headlight/ other lights come on. The engine turns over and slightly sputters but doesnt catch. I can smell guess when i do a couple kicks so I took out the spark plug to help dry out the engine. I tested the spark plug/ignition system by taking it out and trying to start the moped and i was able to see spark so i know that its atleast not that.
Im not sure where to go from this point so any next steps help would be very appreciated.

Hello, Your best bet would be to download a service manual for your scoot and run through the troubleshooting steps in order without skipping any or assuming things. That will usually get to the problem the fastest. We can randomly tell you things to try but that may take a long time and cost you for parts you may not need. If you do not see the list of helps on the left side of the screen try this: www.49ccscoot.com/manuals/manuals.htmlOtherwise there is a lot of help in the sticky threads in the first thread in this section. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/7234/helpful-resources-manuals-troubleshooting-more
