I see all sorts of kits for sale on Amazon. As I understand it, 80cc cylinder kits can be installed by simply replacing the 50cc jug and piston. But what about 100cc kits? I assume they need cutting into the block, different crankshaft, camshaft and rod? At what point is it better to buy a bigger engine?
TIA,

I think a lot of the 100cc kits are only 81-88cc. Check the bore size. 47mm=72cc, 50mm=81cc, and a 52mm=88cc. It's hard to put a 150 engine into a 50cc. It has very different mounting points.
