Last month Vince and i hosted a group of Versys riders in a ride around Arkansas to enjoy some of the great twisties and the first days of Fall. Our route took us down to Eureka Springs and then on down the big trail (Hwy 23). Then back up 123 to Peels ferry and back into Branson. Breakfast is the most important meal, so we had to start at a local joint i've been going to for over 30 years ; ) Love riding out in the early morning light. Took part in the traditional biker prayer... Leaves were just starting to pop. Eureka Springs, AR Riding through the Arkansas forest was gorgeous! The vistas were breathtaking! Finally got to cross the river on the Peel Ferry in AR.

Great pics and ride! My brother and I drove into the Ouachitas last Friday. Too late. The leaves had probably peaked around there about three weeks ago. We shoulda gone south instead north. :censored:

That widescreen shot of your bike is sweet. I've been meaning to get a ride in with the leaves changing. It's past peak here, but still some cool views.

In a way that shot sums up why i ride. Even in a group activity like that was it is still a solitary and self defining activity. No cell pone, no ipod, no input but the bike, the road and your own "self".

It's an amazing thing with powers only true riders know. I felt like total crap today and I went out and did a little work and even with maybe 6-7 miles of test rides I felt totally different than when I walked out the door in the first place.

What a great ride! A cool ferry ride across the river and everything. This picture could be used in an advert if you ask me.

Always great to look at your pictures WT100 !!! :thumb: Thanks for time time to post. As someone stricken wit hchronic wanderlust, I have added the Ozarks on my places to roadtrip. A few years ago I live in Vermont and rode a DR650 to and from my job. Some of the commute were dirt roads through the foresty type areas. In the fall it was breathtaking ! Amazing ! Sort of the same here in KY, but I havent been able to enjoy yet, so your pics are right on time . . .
Regards, LM in KY
