China scoots are not the only vehicles with water problems and electrical connections/modules. Don't buy a BMW and don't depend on a BMW warranty. Stupidity knows no bounds.

Electrical connections and modules don't have to be a problem, it just costs more money and time to do things right. Unfortunately vehicle electrical connections are not made to mil-spec or aerospace specifications.
Very early in the game, like back in the 60's the SAE should have made a connector standard and then just upgraded it as time went on instead of having every vehicle company come up with their own. With some sort of standard in place, connectors and tooling would have been cheap, and maybe even the scoot manufacturers could have adopted and used them. LOL
I wonder where the problem is with the BMW connections or module? I always found it interesting to do postmortems on electrical equipment, medical equipment, machines, or engines. Sometimes failure comes down to just one tiny little defect.
