Unfortunately I don't see it getting much better anytime soon. Inflation, labor shortages, supply chain problems, etc. are getting pretty serious. Right at the end before I sold my Pool Service biz last year the supply prices were raising fast and parts availability going the opposite way. My supplier literally put up a dry erase board with % increases of a long list of items with a short blurb at the end encouraging us biz owners to raise rates accordingly... We are having the same issues in my business. The supplier where we purchase our equipment from announced a 10% price increase for equipment at the first of the year, which brings the total increase to over 20% since COVID arrived. Availability on everything is spotty at best.

Here in the UK,we use combi boilers to heat our homes, they heat the shower etc and the heating for the house and use gas for fuel.A/C is only for rich people here and uncommon.so in the midst of getting a new job my boiler packed in again,it,s 15 years old and has had quite a few repairs over the years so we decided to replace it,not an easy task and would need credit to finance any purchase,I normally research and prevaricate over any purchase, but threw caution to wind for once (panic)and left it to my wife to sort it out.A local firm was contacted and the owner answers the phone and assured us his lads would be in and out without a fuss.that's just what happened £2000 in total, leaving me to marvel at the speed and ease of this transaction the boiler is just part of the house and hopefully won,t earn itself a pet name but the controller is called Lurch he gets moved in and out of the house as and when heating is required, yeah lazy I know. Without AC life here in the midwest is intolerable due to humidity and heat. For some odd reason the heat and storms are getting worse... My normal electric bill runs $50-75/month, $30 of that is tax and fees. The AC raises the bill another $100/month. I look forward to those months I can shut off the AC and heat.
