Just wanted to post up a reminder to all of you in deer country to keep alert to what's on the sides of the road this time of year. Make sure your headlights are adjusted properly too. You need all the help you can get to avoid hitting a deer if you ride at night especially. Slow down enough that your headlights are effective. 2 wheelers and deer don't mix with pleasant results. Stay safe!

Not to mention the odd moose (Bullwinkle?) that can be found lying on his/her belly, on the sun warmed pavement, at night, on the less traveled roads/highways.

Deer around here are pretty bad. I know which roads around me usually have high traffic. What I have a problem with is Raccoon!!! I couldn't tell you how many times I have "jumped" a few. Quite scary to be honest.

That's the main reason I don't ride at night. Animals in the way scare the crap outta me. Second on my list is pot holes, followed by thieves.
