I know there’s only a few us from the U.K. here but wondered if any body had been to the Isle of Wight scooter rally before, and could share any info or experience. I’m thinking of doing it this year with friend of mine

I've been.
It's mainly for classic scooters, and the scene that goes with it.
Nowhere as big as it was 20 years ago. But still probably the biggest scooter rally.
The ride out is worth a look. Even just to walk around the staging area.

Cool, 5000 bikes expected this year apparently! It’s been moved to the airport as the venue or tho they expect every one to descend on to the sea front. We are thinking of taking the bw’s and the sr70 in the van for two days and get a hotel.. I watched last years clips, there seems to be a good mix of modern and classic scooters, some real odd ball stuff to. I see a bsa ariel 3 so I guess we could blend in lol.. I’m almost at classic status any way:)
