k so had to pay a mechanic 80 dollars to come get my moped started which was a total waste of money cuz all he did was tell me you cant put a 20 mm carb on a 50 and put the stock one back on ran fine i guess went on a 15 minute ride all was good brought it home then parked it in the garage then 2 hours later i try to go out and ride it and it wont start and some red light next to my high beams is on looks like a cell phone in the middle of it never seen it before.
ive been told that it as absolutly impossible to make the vento four stroke faster he said thats why everyone gets vento 2 strokes he said was first vento 4 stroke he ever worked on but you guys on here have ventos that are fast im really confused
ive had a jonway qt-6 2 jonway qt-3 one jonway qt - 21 a velocit 150 a tao tao 50 with 47 mm kit and now this stock 4stroke vento which is the nicest looking and feeling out of all of them but i cant make it faster i put 5 gram rollers performaceexhaust uni filter 38 pilot jet 85 main jet unrestricted cdi box hotter spark plug coil. this the same up grade i did to the jonway qt-6 both my 21-s and the tao tao before it had that 47 mm piston and they would all do about 42-45 mph with all that as a 50cc and none of them ever had a problem like this fucking vento

You can put a 20mm on a 50 if you are capable of tuning and it's the right kind of carb. The light with a cell phone is supposed to tell you if your cell is ringing. Not sure why it should have anything to do with a no-start condition. You should really look this over regarding no-start troubleshooting. Tells all of the basics and if it doesn't get you going it should let you tell us what we need to know to help farther... 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=basicstuff&action=display&thread=647&page=1It is not impossible to make the Vento 4T faster. It shouldn't be much different than the other 4T 50s you've owned. Big bore kit is king, along with being sure it's not restricted and is in a proper state of tune (CVT and carburetor). Vento itself isn't a problem or a strong point really. It's just another manufacturer. Once it might have been something different, I believe now they're just like all other China scoots, just a different name plate is stuck on. Yes, most of the 2Ts are faster. That doesn't mean you have to have a 2T to go over 40MPH though, as you've seen. Something is up with yours, just gotta figure out what it is.
