Last night I put the case on and off 3 times even once with oil because I know it all.
Today I am going to read the manual once removed all the pinions so I can get to the Kickstarter and put it in properly so it works.

Well after two attempts today the casing is on and the Kickstarter works. Engine running on choke only at present but not a problem once the 2 stroke smoke has cleared tomorrow in the garage. Looking clearer now in the pic.  |

Sometimes acient gas will form a plaque around the main jet holder/emulsion tube. Easy to remove, just don't ding the threads for the main jet. No, I will not tell you how I know.

Cleaned the gum out the carb and took it for a few hundred yards spin all good it revs now but stays high so bit more fettling to do, then the tank lights etc. Wish I had remembered the brakes needed adjustment while riding it. 😊  |

Managed to check out the fuel tank today and surprised it was clean and shiny. Added petrol and no leaks so put the wiring back together and battery in may get round to doing bit more tomorrow.

All working well today been for a road test the two gears change ok and hi and low ratios work well. Just awaiting the bulbs to see if lights are working and adjust front brake a bit more.

Bit more done today, front brake and drained the tank but hardly any bits in the petrol.  |

Up and running properly, road test done. Handling is horrible no damping on front suspension on these models. Not for me I think it can go.  |

That's a shame. But I suppose you have got that model out of your system now.
We forget how bad bikes were back in the 70's and 80's.
Perhaps you need another Peugeot?
