I picked this up cheap just to find that it doesn't have a VIN from the factory. Don't even know what to do with it now xD I was going to increase the battery capacity and swap out to a kelly controller.... Idk if the VIN is hidden somewhere. Lmao. Company that made it went out of business as well... Probably why it was so cheap. Its a lot of fun to ride tho. Only thing I am gunna do cosmetically is move the handle bar forward and drop it down.

Keep looking for the VIN plate and the VIN stamped on the frame. To title it you will need a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin for a new vehicle.

you will need a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin for a new vehicle. Is that even possible with the company being out of business? Ill keep looking for vin in the meantime

The MSO is kind of like the title from the manufacturer for a new vehicle. It comes with a new vehicle. Otherwise the motor vehicle dept will ask for a title from the previous owner. No title or MSO == stolen vehicle, no registration, good for parts only. There are some states that are a little lax on titles etc, there are threads on that here.

Usually you need to deal with the seller to get the MSO for a new scooter. Any of the ones that I've dealt with would ship the bike. Then they required me to contact them with the VIN once I got it. Then they'd ship the MSO, bill of sale and whatever other paperwork they had. Not exactly sure why it has to go that way, but that's been my experience. If you got it from a store, then contact them. If you got it from a classified or something, you may have a more difficult road ahead.

My scoot was shipped truck freight from a distributor in California. The MSO came in the mail a few days later.
