Just a small update, bike is still running and will get some new pics up, since I could not figure out what plastics actually fit on the bike, I and what it was originally I just wrapped the frame and moved my busted gas tank into a top box, working out OK so far.
GY6 is actually proving to be a sturdy engine so far, since gas prices rose I been riding her alot, 3 weeks ago I started to feed her a mix of fresh fuel and junk fuel from work, doing OK surprisingly, I have a fresh 150cc long case just in case.
Cheap carb hasn't fouled yet, I work in the railyard maintenance, so we get a lot of old diesel, old gas and solvent from cars and it goes into barrels, so I been filling up a water bottle full and been dumping it in every time I fill up. She been burning it, ran some fuel system cleaner from 7 11 π
Fuel filters, running 2 and both are not clear anymore, curious to see how long she will last. Actually more fun doing a rat build than a serious full build.

Checked my plug tonight, still tan with a very small black ring at the very bottom, surprisingly since what she has been running lol. Would never do this to one of my yamaha bikes, but this isn't a yamaha so I don't feel to bad
Little smokey today, she got probably a 1/4 gallon of some very green, pre mix, think it was from 2 summer ago, fuel filters are a light green color now π
But still light tan on the plug and no sputtering, 115 Chinese man jet and 33 pilot on a 26 dollar Amazon flat side Akunini carb lol.
Amazing little gy6

Trying to use as many recycled and re purposes parts as I can.
$100.00 unknown tweaker frames, Buddy's used free 125 gy6 26.00 Amazon carb kit Custom body panels π duct tape, electric tape, end rolls from electric department at work LED HEADLIGHT from a emergency exit sign found by the scrap bin Custom paint from left over spray paint Custom exhaust from autozone Scooter top box from somewhere, don't remember what I was originally going to do with it, but I have had it for a few years now, found it on the top of the shelves in garage so it wasn't that important but it holds the gas tank, which came from the original frame, big dent and busted off tabs, but it doesn't leak so run it Trailtech rpm gauge from another of my old bikes Ncy drag bars and throttle from another bike I sold
Other than that, just time and patience and she runs, keeps up with street traffic just fine

Mary died yesterday, got hit from behind on the way home, hit and run, rear wheel got broke, case destroyed and bent up frame.
6 am on the way home, all I saw was headlight in the mirror and boom, threw me to the right off the road, luckily soft grass and not concrete, right side is all bruised up but nothing broken.
And I know Cops are just trying to do their job, but asking a guy who just got thrown off the road if I got a license plate or a PICTURE of the car. Sir, I know it had 2 headlight. Other than that, I don't know. Laying on the ground I didn't think to get my phone out of my pocket and try to get a photo π
I don't know if the city took my bike or a scrap guy but later that day I went back to try to pick up my pieces and they were not there, so Mary got tired of waiting on the side of the road for me π

Holy crap! Glad youβre (relatively) ok. That sucks about the hit and run. And someone taking Maryβs corpse.
Heal fast.

Thank you π I am healed up and moving around again. And not out of the scooter game ππ
Friday I am probably going to pick up a new scooter. 2004 kymco vitality 50, 2 stroke baby. Reasonable priced, and low mileage. I know that kymco uses cloned honda vertical motors, never had a kymco before but everything says they are great bikes.
Now of course I find a 2 stroke after I get rid of all my 2t stuff π oh well, depending on how she runs it will be a very mild build, of course we all say that π just a pipe and a little tuning can turn into a ported stroker really quickly lol
But just wanted to post up and say π, got knocked down but no where near finished.
Oh and police have no records of picking up Mary, so I guess she moved on π I did love her π
