GY6 150 with a black spark plug.
Tested the enricher itself and it is fine and extends to 1".
Voltage to the enricher with connector disconnected is 6V.
Does this run off the stator?
0V with key on not running.
Please advise and in advance thank you for your help.

it should be 12 volts going there if your not getting 12 there then it may not fully open
it should run of the stator though some 4 strokes are full dc bikes meaning that everything runs off the battery and all the juice is sent to the battery
i know kymcos are that way

AC or DC??? I am so used to working on cars! I am not clear as to what I should be looking for where this is an AC ignition.

if you turn the key and you get voltage there its dc
if you have to have the scoot running to get voltage there its ac
i dont know the gy6 very well but it should be ac

very few are DC, the CDI box can sometimes be a dead give away. the AC one is smaller by rule of thumb the wiring is the second way, I think the AC wired CDI will have two wires in its two plug port and 3-4 in its 4 plug 4 if its got the rev limiter from the CVT.
The DC unit will only have one wire in the two port plug.
