Yah buddy fuck Naraku they makle a half decent intake and thats about it... Go italian or go home in my book good choice,,, Malossi cast is on the way. Ive heard not great things from dio builders about the Naraku as well, but i will say, i think it just needed a lot more fuel and gear than i was giving it. Wanting to go for a low effort stock pipe mild upgear setup. That kit would do great with 9-1s, big carb and pipe like how my old bike was. I noticed it has a big single (intake?) port, the one opposite the exhaust port. Almost every other kit has a sort of dual split one. Im guessing just more made for max flow that stock carb just cant provide. That being said, thing felt like a gy6 ebay piston, my exhaust didnt fit at all, the motor shook and felt like it was gonna blow itself apart, and all it took was 2 sizes to go from running great to locking up every time i held the gas. Ive never even had a GY6 blow up that easy

Put a good few miles on the Malossi, and Im amazed at what this otherwise stock scoot can do! With the 70cc, variator, and a good belt, itll do 45+ sitting up and hit 48 in a tuck. Stock gears. With the 9.8 gears, shes got over 50 for sure. I did discover a weird problem, i dont know why, only reason i can think of is that my rear pulley has a good amount of rust. Within a few days of riding, itll eat the belt. Drew a sharpie mark on the rear pulley where the belt sat. Within one maybe 30 minute ride it wore down to where it started to cross over the sharpie mark. Its done this to all my belts, which is why it revs so high and eventually always drops down to a low 40s top speed. Also, when doing a fast wheelie, the trans will almost lock into a tall gear and pull power even when i let off the gas. When it slows down, itll "let go" and start dropping speed again

Update, took a chance and bought a 15 dollar belt from scootertuning. Im not sure if its a good thing or bad, but no matter what setup i have. Light or heavy rollers, stock contra or a yellow....it uses all of the variator. Every single bit 😂😂

So now i know i have the "gear" to use the full range of the cvt. Now i suppose its just tuning it to stay at the best rpm up top and how it gets there. The stock contra sort of feels weird and the yellow one keeps it wound up, just seems super stressed and makes that "wum wum wum wum" sound you typically hear from a high rpm built scoot. I dont think thats the actual engine rpm. Just stresses me out

Im not sure what the noise is exactly. It gets worse sort of with a stiffer contra. But the pulley moved smooth and everything after checking!

Update time! Malossi kit is a god send. Absolutely killer kit. I discovered the power of a good pipe, finally pulled the trigger on an NCY exhaust. Bike was super dead hit wise above 35, numb feeling and I couldnt feel the power hit. Went from 44 to at least 50. I've seen 51 and 52. The takeoff and acceleration is stupid now. She comes up at 35 like an angry wasp, sounds like one too 🤣🤣. Went to an NCY gold variator as well and I love how it feels. I saw 41 or 43 in a wheelie on gps so shes got enough power for me. Been fighting a cvt issue, I think the stock rear pulley is holding it back. Figured out that noise is just the belt. Its normal for dio motors I guess at full speed? It pulls hard to 40, drops a bit, either from getting stuck in the shift or hitting it, then after around 43 it starts vibrating like crazy and pulls like a freight train. Also dropping rpm and having to climb back up on hills and such. Went from 7g rollers to 6.5 and greased up the rear pulley so it moves super good now Im super happy with it. All I wanted was 50 and cruising at 40. Shes got way more wheelie juice than I bargained for honestly I have 9.8 gears I may throw in but I cant find anyone with a press so we shall see. Had a bit of a scare where it got cold last night and she got really hot. Felt like it started to lose power but not sure. Crank feels okay and shes got great compression so 🤷♂️

Look what came home from Chicago with me ❤️ Traded it to my dude oilboyz for his Vino, and now im buying the Elite back too. Shes a lil beat up but still hauls absolute ass. Gears and maybe a bigger carb to come. It feels like the belts slipping or something at 50mph and it shakes suuuuper bad. Like motor vibrations rattling the whole bike. Idc, shes welcomed back in the garage

try 8-9 grams rollers with that malossi cast on an af16. it likes lower rpms. but that may be in correlation with your gearing too. i have 8.9:1 for reference and mine likes 8-9 grams. stock gearing is like 12:1. you can find any shop that works on cars and they'll have a 10 ton press. and get a cht gauge so you can see if you're too lean
