Hello, new here, well sorta. Name is Ben and I own a 2011 Cixi KingRing/Jinlun SUNNY JL-50QT-6A.
Im new to bikes in general only had mine for bout 2 years but its a pretty great bike for its age and runs fairly well barring some hiccups and some unfortunate new trouble. Has a GY6 50cc 139QMB that was supposedly bored to 70cc though I see no evidence it was modded.
Ive found that although not a rare bike its certainly not a common make though its identical to the Amigo iL Bello and BMS Heritage Classic among others.
I cant really express too much though im a happy rider most of the time and im learning as much as I can.
The moped is Metallic Cherry Red and Chrome classic style. Its been ups and down, recently ive been facing a series of issues.
My bike has always had minor starting issues, took a few tries to start both with Ignition Switch and Kick Start. Since I took it out of storage this year the Ignition button wouldnt work if the Tail Light/Blinkers were plugged in, unplug them and it started right up. I bought a new CDI, a new Voltage Regulator as recommended by my local Zoom Zoom Parts guys and a Starter, best to replace old parts anyways. I installed them and suddenly the Taillight issue was fixed but not for long, wouldnt start anymore, no power reaching the switched, found later that id blown the fuse.
After replacing the fuse the bike still wont power up via the Ignition button. I could kick Start but after a few kicks the pedal bound up and i discovered that I'd cracked the case and sheered a few teeth off the Bendix gear.
I bought a new case and gears but they must have been defective (as the Zoom Zoom guys said) and stripped teeth off the Bendix and a tooth on the pedal gear. Took it back again to get a new one but it bound up just moving it by hand so they swapped the old Bendix for another again and after I installed it it eventually worked but the Ignition start button was still dead so I bought a new Starter Solenoid and low and behold that fixed my electric issue, started on first push.
I was so happy but also a bit upset because even the new kick start wasnt smooth, had the Zoom Zoom guys give it a test and it was actually fine, I was just going to easy.

Hope you enjoyed a little insight into my journey with the Sunny.
