Hey Mike, ERRR, What kind of scoot is this going on?? If it is a known brand then the stock airbox would be the best option, those pod filters create flow turbulence and noise..

If this is for your Zuma the stock air box and stock filter is the best .

Tight fit means no air leaks It loosens up after taking on and off a few times .

Throw the rubber knee in a bowl with boiling hot water. It will go on easier.

Throw the rubber knee in a bowl with boiling hot water. It will go on easier. Yeah thats what I did... it did help quite a bit. Currently running a 95 main jet, thinking I'll be @ a 90. I'm in Chicago super humid in the summer. I ordered a trail tech temp gauge should be arriving today. I've been reading to stay around 350 degrees. I also forgot to mention my stock airbox has 6 uni small little round filters... installed from previous owner.

Those holes dont add anything but sound and alot of tuning variance . You are jetted way up to make up for those holes . I was at 80-82 for stock airbox with a Yasuni R Malossi 19mm Dellorto combo on my Zuma

Should the little snorkle on the stock airbox be removed?

Get a replacement airbox or close up those holes. A stock box with the snorkel removed flows plenty with a clean OEM filter. Also helps to use smaller jets and keeps the noise down.

Low to mid 80s is a range I would look at with stock air box snorkle out with a 19mm Dellorto Low 80's with snorkle in
