Hey yall, i been watching ur vids on yt. Recently got a taotao atm50 (75% sure on model) and your vids have been very helpful.
I was thinking about getting a long axle for my short case. Welding another shock mount and running dual rear shocks. Also was thinking about getting 12in rims and 120/70s and seeing if it would fit. Thoughts?

long axle for your short case? idk what you mean there. but you would def need a "long case" for a larger rim. I dont think the 50s have that option? only 150s but i def could be wrong with that statement

Also its longer so a shock can attach to it. This correct? So my thinking is use the longer shaft with my short case so i can use a 12in rim and add a shock. The website says power pure 110/70s are 16in total width. That is shorter than my current 10in wheels and tires. So in theory it should work unless there is something im missing.

Unless you have the big off road type tyres like a Zuma. I can't see it being smaller with a 12" wheel. There is a circumference comparison tool here. www.49ccscoot.com if you compare the tire you have now, and what you want to use, you will know. What do you hope to gain with twin shocks? If you fit two standard shocks you will have no suspension travel. Most don't bolt to the axle, but a mounting point on the CVT. You would need to weld a top mount on as well.
