Hi
After a rebuild the speedfight is being run in. This is the plug after 40 miles, what's the thoughts on the plug colour. Look ok? Bit rich? Bit lean?

On the rich side for overall tune . first picture your timing is right and the color chnage is near the bend of the ground starp so your heat range of plug is correct
second picture You have full turn of color on your mixture ring so that says your jetting is rich enough the darkness of the color with some dried soot says you are richer than needed .
Now if you are someone that rides wide open for 5 miles at a clip like me and doesnt run summer /winter jets I might keep the jetting as is
If i was someone that runs around town stop and go driving or ran summer /winter jets I would look at down jetting a jet or 2

Plug color can be deceptive. When you check the color of a plug after some time on the road youre checking the overall tune like Zino mentioned. You arent seeing the jetting at any one point of throttle but all throttle points. If you want to really dial in your setup the best way to do it is with plug chops for each throttle position (1/4, 1/2 and WOT).
Your current plug looks on the richer side. Theres nothing wrong with that especially in air cooled two strokes. If you want to eek out more power find the rich area and lean it out a touch
