Hello everyone, Recently picked up a 2008 Zuma for $800 My plan is to install the following: 70cc cylinder YMS V8 minarelli performance exhaust 21mm oko Carb unrestricted CDI Dual headlight wiring harness Polini Kevlar belt Upgraded CVT parts (slider weights, springs, etc.) I also picked up a set of highway bars off ebay (will put on some old bmx pegs on the ends) I have some old performance parts from a 2005 Vino I had that unfortunately was stolen. More pics coming soon.. Anything I might be missing, thoughts, comments or general info on performance upgrades?

Nice scoot. My second favorite color Only advice is stick with the Yamaha OEM belt. I think you'll be happy regardless.

You wont need kevlar belt Stock belt works really well
The stock cdi works to 12k rpms and is unlimited (the 4 stokes have limits)so you can stick with stock. That alot of carb for a low revving pipe and kit That will make it harder to tune in and throttle response willbe lacking compared to a stock carb
The Yms V8 pipe has a fat power band that starts low so stock cvt settings work real well slightly stiffer clutch springs will make it more fun.

I’m with him. Either run the factory carb up jetted or maybe a 17.5 & call it a day.

Welcome, nice scoot ,big plans but remember to change one thing at a time test and take notes,we have had to many people going "all in " and ending up in tuning tailspin, buy a tach and temp gauge with your carb money.
