Hey folks, figured I'd drop a few lines to say hi after finally signing up. Been using this site for reference and info since acquiring my first 49cc scoot a little over 5 months ago. Im not a "keep it stock" kinda dude so I dove right in to modding/tuning my 2005 Zuma 2T for more speed and acceleration. Im currently a 325 lb rider (lost 60 lbs since Feb of this year and have another 40 slated to go as well before Im content) and I stand at about 6'4.....I know I know Im too big but I dont give a sh!t what anyone thinks. I buy what I want and I'll break whatever I buy if I choose to do so.
I currently have 4 others I ride with locally that all got their first scoots after I got mine and showed them how fun they can be by letting anyone who wanted to ride it do so. I bought the 05 Zuma with 3,381 miles on it in April of this year and it currently has just over 5200 miles. I've had a few hiccups here n there that I got sorted quickly, but nothing thats left me stranded (yet).
Current upgrade/mod list includes (in this order):
-NCY Performance Exhaust
-5g Dr. Pulley Sliders
-Pollini adjustable racing clutch & bell (set to approx 5100 rpm)
-Green 1500 rpm clutch springs
-Digital RPM tach
-1K Contra Spring
-Removal of nearly all rear plastics under tail light
-JDM rear turn signal mod (needed due to my fat a$$ causing the turn signal to hit the exhaust when going over large bumps)
-LED light conversion with aftermarket led flasher (no expensive canbus/no resistors to wire in)
-NCY 72cc BBK (just installed last night)
-Malossi Multivar Variator (just ordered/not yet installed)
-1K Contra Spring
-Removal of nearly all rear plastics under tail light
-JDM rear turn signal mod (needed due to my fat a$$ causing the turn signal to hit the exhaust when going over large bumps)
-LED light conversion with aftermarket led flasher (no expensive canbus/no resistors to wire in)
-NCY 72cc BBK (just installed last night)
-Malossi Multivar Variator (just ordered/not yet installed)
I just installed the BBK last night so I havent seen what it is capable of yet, but before the 72cc kit install I was getting 42 mph and getting there faster then anyone else in my group. Considering my size, I'd say thats pretty good lol. Hoping the BBK and the new variator will get me into the 50+ territory. -Tune Goon
