I need a new battery for my 2021 tao tao VIP, any suggestions which1 is best

If that's ALL you need for a Tao Tao, ANY battery will do.

Try a Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) like the ones used in computer back up supplies etc. They work even better than the wet cell batteries most scoots use and they are cheaper. You will have to change the battery connectors though.

I went with an Anti Gravity lithium battery. As light as our scooters are, I figure the battery is a sizeable percentage of the weight. Feels like an empty battery shell lol. Not cheap, but I use them in my motorcycles with no cranking problems ever.

If you are worried about the weight differences of battery systems just take a healthy dump before you go for a ride or skip that big lunch.

Anyone have good thoughts on how to safely replace a normal (lead acid) battery with a lithium one? Is there a circut board that controls the incoming carging current from the regulator? Or?
