Hey all, been a minute since I last posted. I've still been around lurking, following all of Brent's videos on youtube as well.
It's been a crazy few years, eh?
Thankfully been able to avoid COVID-related tragedies in my immediate circle. Had an issue with kidney stones though last year which was not much fun. My Son will be 8 in December, we attempted starting him in school last year in 1st grade after homeschooling for kindergarten but it didn't go well at all, local schools are swamped with getting evaluations and IEP's done for students that need additional help (like my kid with ADHD and emotional regulation challenges needs) so we pulled him back out, and have been homeschooling ever since. STILL getting evaluations and things done through Children's hospital, waiting lists have been 6-8 months out for each appointment, it's crazy and frustrating.
Also got the announcement in July that my job of 11 years is outsourcing all of it's IT, so me and 600 other people lost their jobs, thankfully our last day is Jan 3rd so it wasn't an immediate break. But about 3/4 of the affected individuals have already left so those that remain are pulling the whole Organization's IT needs and the outsourcing company has not started doing any of the work yet. I have had a dozen or so interviews which is stressful enough and I am hopeful that I will receive good news about my next opportunity this week but the waiting has been hard and I hate the feeling of not knowing what is coming.
Have not done much with any scooter projects lately, too much going on. The prices of stuff has been insane too, I have wanted a shifty scooter project or maybe a Ruckus but any Stella/Vespa/Bajaj that has come up locally or even semi-locally has been big money. I did acquire a "free" Honda Elite 250 but it needs everything gone through and there is no title for it either which might be more challenge than it's worth.
Anyway just wanted to say hello to everyone and let anyone that cares know I'm still around just not doing much or contributing right now. Hopefully will change soon! I am not getting any younger either, lol.
