Ethanol injection has always been a bandaid type of fix for high boost and pump gas. We used to run it on the mitsubishi 4g63 alot, another injector and more complexity and having to carry around a jug of windshield washing fluid, no room for a big extra jug on the scooter lol 😆
We even played with propane injection. That was funny to have a high pressure, explosive tank strapped in the hatch of a high speed, high power car 😀 what could possibly go wrong 🤔

What about water injection? It was used a lot on WW2 aircraft and later for detonation suppression. The boost could be increased greatly for 'war emergency'. Germany used it the most, they called it MW50 (think that is Methanol/Water 50%).. I thought about going this route too. There's kits for it for some of the turbo cars I could adapt. The biggest issue I was running into is I'm running outa space... I've got about 20lbs of crap in a 5lbs bag on this bike right now. My whole under-seat storage area has been repurposed for engine bits and I'm just not sure I have the room to fit a water or meth injection tank in there along with the radiator reservoir, ECU, wideband O2 controller, blow off valve, and part of the throttle body already taking up space in there. It would help with running on 93 instead of E85 though. If E85 ends up being too much of a pain I'll have to look at that again, but going E85 was a 15 minute job and a $50 sensor, so it was worth giving a go.

What advantage did that have over water/meth?

Propane is above 100 octane, could vary by supply, usually was 105+
Still kinda big with the dyno diesel guys.

Definitely not going to be scooter friendly lol. Don't want propane tank or meth tank hanging from the luggage rack lol 😆
Hopefully the simple mix at the pump will work out for you. Sounds like the best solution, aluminum drink bottle in the cup holder would probably be the most effective and space saver

I've been carrying a 1L bottle with extra gas since my gas gauge doesn't currently work and there's no reserve. I've run out and had to push home a couple times! But 1L of e85 and the rest of the tank with 93 comes out to E31. That MIGHT be enough of a mix, but I'm not sure. I'm gonna have to figure out how to figure that out. If not I'll just have to find myself a bigger gas bottle.

This morning a very nice group of my neighbors told me very politely that my crazy scooter shenanigans were disturbing the peace of the neighborhood, and could I perhaps make my scoot a little(Or a lot) quieter. In the interest of being a good neighbor I said I'd see what I can do... So no more straight pipe hooliganism, the local bike shop had this random muffler hanging around that I got for free. It doesn't fit perfectly, but it also didn't result in a huge drop in performance. I suspect after a bit of a retune it'll be about where it was before which is fine by me... I miss the loud brap of the straight pipe, but I can hear the turbo more, so win some loose some I guess

Sweet. Now to satisfy my ocd clean up those welds & paint the pipes back black & I’ll be happy. That badass scooter deserves a clean exhaust not that lol.

And I KNEW someone was gonna call me out on them! It wasn't so bad when most of the ugly welds were down below the turbo. But now they're not. I'll probably do that here in a bit if it keeps raining. If I can't ride it at least I can work on it right?

Took it out for a longer ride to drop off something my son forgot for school. The muffler is affecting power... Not a TON, but its there. I don't like it Gonna have to find a better actual 'performance' muffler thats not horribly loud to replace it with at some point, but I guess it'll do for now. Its still stinkin' fast.

Length of pipe drill holes into the pipe, think diffuser, it will lower the decibel of the exhaust by diffuse of the exhaust. Won't have a focus flow. Not going to drastically lower it but it may lower it enough to keep you in the good standing of the neighborhood.
Other options turn down exhaust pipe, ground pounder, may give it a different tone that is not so offensive.
Maybe experiment with tuning the sound, try a split into 2 different pipes, may be fun especially if you have pipe laying around

Maybe experiment with tuning the sound, try a split into 2 different pipes, may be fun especially if you have pipe laying around We're thinking the same... I opened up the can and perforated the inner baffle a few times last night. Didn't make it much louder but did give it more of a growl. In the interest of not bugging the neighbors I did NOT go run it at 8PM at night, but I'm gonna make a parts run this afternoon so we'll see how it does then. I've also got a second downpipe flange for my turbo so I MIGHT just make two pipes, and see which works best. I'm thinking I might try straight pipe with a DB killer baffle and see how that does too. I had a moment yesterday afternoon to check my injector duty cycle and at E55 I was hitting 96% duty cycle which isn't ideal... Went to swap for the bigger injector I had and discovered I ordered one with the wrong spray pattern. So I've got to find a different injector. I've nailed it down I think but I'm discovering I'm starting to reach the maximum flow you can get from a pico injector. After I swap for this one its custom injectors, higher fuel pressure, or going to staged injectors(Which my ECU supports).

This scooter is getting funny, take a simple 1 cylinder engine and turn it into the most complex over engineered vehicle ever.😀🥰
Stand alone twin fuel turbo charged tuned exhaust land craft 😎 👌
Ohh, and add in eco friendly low emissions renewable resources, corn fed e85 baby 👶
