I ordered the JDM lenses from scooterswapshop.com on clearance for a whopping $8 USD + shipping! It is just the lenses, but you can do the mod with nothing else bought and re-using your existing light sockets.
I removed the rear tail light housing & turn signal lenses completely from the housing. You will need to cut the signal connectors off to remove the sockets from the OEM turn signal arms. They will get wire crimped back together after removal from the arms and before re-installation. Cut off the reflector portion of the sockets leaving just the socket and harness:
I then step drilled holes in the signal housings to accomodate the modded signal sockets. A snug fit is best so drill it out little at a time until you reach a nice, tight fit. You can always make it bigger, but go too big & youre gonna encounter some sloppy fitment issues. I fed the sockets into the housing from the front and allow the ridge where the reflector was removed to work like a stop. You want to be able to have the socket in there deep enough to clear the new JDM lens, but still be able to easily change the bulb when needed. Epoxy the socket into the housing by applying the epoxy to the back side of the housing. **Careful not to epoxy the bulb base into the socket when doing this step. This is why I applied it from the rear of the housing....plus it just looks cleaner (even though Im the only one to see it lol) Let the epoxy dry, crimp on the OEM connectors to the wires and re-install the rear housing using the original connectors from each signal. Install new JDM lenses. Done!
