Is there anywhere on a scooter where I should be cautious not to spill gasoline? For example, my battery is right next to my gas tank and I got a little of the good stuff on my battery terminals. It didn't catch on fire, but it kinda seemed like it should... Is the heat from the battery cables not hot enough for that? Is there anywhere on my scooter that is hot enough?

You should be cautious not to spill gasoline anywhere. Regardless of fire hazard or not. Not just on a scoot. Anywhere. Any time. Just don’t spill it. Don’t.

Unless your electrical system has a malfunction like a short causing a lot of heat or sparks, battery terminals and wiring shouldn't be hot enough to ignite gasoline. That said, I agree that it's wise not to spill gasoline anywhere. Even if you don't start a fire, it could potentially cause problems with paint or plastics, odor, it's a harmful chemical to living creatures and the environment. Stuff happens, but obviously try not to spill at all.
