gy6 shroud seal

hi.
not sure its the right palce to ask but its not a performance or troubleshooting thing.

since i cannot find that seal that goes between the engine and the shroud at a non scam price ( abusive shipping ) and i'm done using cut rubber hose ( too big and its a 4 part thing ), i am wondering if that seal is that important ?
i know the shroud is important but what about that seal ?
it doesnt seems to come with any shroud kit. so they either think that seal is immortal or its not needed at all.

my shroud is in good shape. only the chain tentioner "cover" is bent but thats easy fix with a heat gun.
its a 139qmb but same things apply to all gy6.

yes. seen that months ago... gy6store or ncystore have it too, and again for a decent price...... but thats what is happening and the reason i ask if tis that important






not gonna start a debate on who scam who dont. a fact is a fact. ( and its shipping that scams people not the seller ).
the only option since 2 years is amazon ( and amazon canada barely has small parts for gy6 ) and aliexpress. none of them have this part. they only have the 2 or 3 parts kit, that doesnt include the seal. and the seal is actually the only part i would need

so is it that important of anyone found an alternative ?  not trying to be cheap but DAMN those shipping cost from us to my area in Quebec is out of this world and its similar everywhere.  in clear i have 2 options not 3 or 4 but ONLY 2 . #1 is finding an alternative, #2 is its not needed.

It's because you are in a different country. Though $18 doesn't seem so bad. Similar to what I pay for small parts from Germany.
Unfortunately not many parts companies based in Canada.

anyway i just got a reply after 1 week and they dont have it in stock and culd take from 6 to 16 weeks, IF they receive it.
also asked the other store that sell it and waiting on the reply but with my luck and covid thing, i know they wont.
thanks for trying.

still waiting a reply to what i asked tho. either its necessary or an alternative.
