ok I was thinking of ordering a few things for my black and blue scoot a Performance CDI and stiffer clutch springs
The questions is will this help my performance and should I have anything else besides these or with these to help ?
The scoot has power just climbing hills it the issue it drops down to around 20 MPH but level ground the speedo shows I am doing around 45MPH I am sure it is off some
Thanks

ok clutch springs control where the clutch engages
as far as the cdis i dont know much for the 4 strokes but with the 2 strokes unless you have a rev limited cdi there isnt any noticable diffrence infact i know guys who checked the ones with multi curves and the switches did nothing they all had the same curve
you need more torque for climbing hills you might want to try a stiffer contra spring this controls how your rear sheave moves

CDI helps if yours is rev limited. Otherwise it's a crap shoot.
Clutch springs are good for the initial take off.
I'd say maybe invest in lighter rollers or a stiffer contra spring and see if that helps. That should keep you at a higher RPM up the hills.

My suggestions are a free flowing air filter and a free flowing exhaust. Re-jet to suite. Then adjust the roller weights and contra springs. If you ride at slow speeds, like in parking lots, I wouldn't put high rpm clutch springs in her. The blue 1000s max. A 72cc kit is cheap and easy to install. It really all depends on what you expect to get out of it. Want to go 60 mph for a long stretch? Get a 150cc scoot.

If you bought your scooter new and the CDI is plain black with no markings it most likely is rev limited. So get an unlimited rev one. It will not make you climb hills faster but can give you a faster flat speed. I installed Dr. Pulley sliders in mine and it pulled up hills about 3 miles per hr. faster. I weigh 280 and the best thing I did was install a NCY big bore kit. It now climbs hills around 10 miles per Hr faster. I just went with the piston cyclinder kit. Was told if I went with the bigger head I would need to change the crank if I didn't want bottom end problems. I did not want to spend the extra money or time working on it. I also had to change the main jet from a #68 to a #95. I tried a #90 and #100 but #95 worked best. Also removed the plug from the filter box to increase air flow.

:welcome: smiley.
Just being a plain box doesn't always mean it's rev limited. Big bore kits are great for this because you end up with more torque and horsepower. Tuning the CVT is about trying to make use of the power you have to get up the hills better. The BBK adds even more power to get up the hills and if you get the CVT working with it, hill climbing (and pretty much everything else) should feel way different.

Sounds like 1fastqmb has the formula for a 50MPH four stroke!
How many RPMs is the engine turning at that speed? I wonder if the additional torque could handle an up gear?

ok well I ordered a performance cdi I put it on my black/blue 09 and I like never got it to run right finally got it but it runs like crap. I put it on the Black 08 and it runs great seems more power but with them both stock the 09 smokes the black one with the cdi in the black one smokes the blue one this makes no since to me but I am not at a loss b/c it works on one

I wonder if the additional torque could handle an up gear? on the combo above, not really. my next motor will be a stroker 44mm crank with a 52.4mm bore. add a 13" wheel to that with an upgear too maybe. im shooting for 60-65mph.
