My handlebar grips are getting sticky and this gunk is appearing on them. More appears if I rub them with my thumb, and some is the color of the grips themselves. Are they just shitty grips?
Secondly, the literature that came with my new rain cover recommends avoiding putting it on the scooter while it's still hot, presumably because the exhaust pipe will be touching it. Is there a good way to prevent my rain cover from melting if I want to put it on while the scooter is still hot?
