Well, if it had a laser on it I believe it would have cut my mobile home in half LOl! Picture taken by me laying in my hammock, looking straight up. Minuets later they shot it down with an air to air missle. There were several loud booms. Pretty cool. I have a video of them doing the deed.

It is about time we grew some... They should be shot down just like a plane would be when it violated our airspace.

It wouldnt make it far in my neighborhood. All the 24/7 deer hunters would love to have it hanging in their barn!!

60,000 feet up would make it hard to shoot down with a rifle. That balloon must be huge. It will be interesting if they can recover any debris. Most of the 'interesting' stuff is probably at the bottom of the Atlantic. All data was probably transmitted to China. I hope they enjoy the pics of Oldgeek wanking in his hammock

Some information: www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-64541671Hijinks like this are not new, remember the U2 shot down over The USSR.
I would suspect the US has thousands of photos of the balloon and it's payload taken while it was traversing the US. They also probably recorded a lot of the data it sent back to China, including pictures of oldgeek in his hammock. I heard it passed over the KC area. There are lots of interesting things to see around here. It will be interesting to see what was in the payload if it was not caused to self destruct like a tape recorder in Mission Impossible.
