This I came across whilst sitting here ill. I am very impressed at the price point of £1350 delivery to the door. 750w restricted to 15mph for UK market but apparently does more with a bit of twiddling. Has throttle which he reckons illegal in UK but I do know of CEO Dave who runs a large bike company over here had legally got around the throttle nonsense but not had chance to speak to him yet how plus another company have done the same so I have been informed. Plus a bit of research on the frame break on earlier models was quickly addressed by the company who were very hands on to sort the problem quickly and not runaway. Think they Hong Kong based. The claimed battery range is 94 miles and this chap got 70 something I think in cold winter weather as well. Seems a lot better than my Trek the council got me for work which cost £3300

I was watching another video a while ago. I'm sure they said a throttle was legal, as long as it only worked for a small percentage of the power range. Like up to 2.5mph. See loads of electric bikes here just being used with a throttle though. Last summer I regularly saw one going up Portsdown hill at about 40MPH in the mornings.

Its faster than the speed limit! There is a group of kids with Suron electric bikes too. All ride round with a balaclava on. Not like they know it's illegal. 😂

UK regs are strange to me. That E-bike looks like a decent transport. To me 15MPH seems a good speed limit on a E-bike motor setup. I used a 10MPH design speed on mine for getting up hills etc. Pedals may work for higher speed. I don't need to go faster. The removable battery pack is nice. It would be good if they start standardizing such things. They never standardized tool batteries and look where we are. Maybe someday we will have plug in car battery packs... I used collapsing side baskets on my scooter secured by rubber lined P-clamps which would work easily on that large tube E-bike. The price seems to be coming down as the E-bikes lose their novelty status and move into the utility mainstream.
On another note, -what is wrong with wheel spokes? They have worked well for over a century. I wouldn't consider a fragile cast wheel a step up.

So to make them with more like scooters features is desirable. I know Honda at least did some petrol mopeds that could be speed restricted in the ecu to 15mph. You can then use them on cycle lanes. The British licencing system is out dated. Things like electrified bicycles end scooters only seem to get legalisation long after they become a problem on the streets. Then the government is forced to act.
