I bought a 2009 Rattler 110 with title back in November 2021 with 10k miles from a guy that didn't take very good care of the bike. It had which look like BMX handlebars and the starter was completely broken off the casing, only way to start it is to Kickstart.
The bike had a bad battery from the beginning so there was no need for me to change it because i hardly ever rode it with the starter broken off anyway and when I do it was on around the neighborhood at low speeds.
So Yesterday me and a friend of mine decided to go ride he rode the my 110 I rode my 2019 Rattler 50 once we got about 9 miles/14mins from my house the rat 110 started to cut out like turning the kill switch on and off.
Finally died few seconds later, once I walked over to the bike I saw some little bit of smoke coming from looks like the flywheel area but didn't pay too attention to it. I looked it over and tried to kick-start it still nothing. Look at fuses they were good, Even try swapping the cdi from 110 and still didn't start I tried the 110 CDI on the Rattler 50 and it ran
So while still on side the road I have determined that the stator has probably burned out from me not getting a new battery for it. The stator was probably fine riding around the neighborhood but once getting on the highway with higher rpms, the stator got so hot that it literally burnt itself out (light smoke from the flywheel area was a dead indication once pulled over) from the amount of load on the stator had to endure from the bad battery.

Today,I was able to work on the bike after being sick for about 2 days. I really wanted to find out why the bike stopped running. First thing I did was check for spark and miraculously it fired. So my next thing was to pull the spark plug and this is what I found. After putting in a better spark plug it fired right up after a few kicks

Looks like old spark plugs from the 70's with gasoline modifier deposits. ohhbuddy, your photography is excellent.
