I recently bought a little Honda NT650 Hawk, aka Honda RC31. Before this I had a Suzuki GSX1100F which was more than a handfull. Not so much when it was moving but more the parking part, getting it on the center stand and moving it. Sold that and bought a little Honda Hawk. These bikes are small, light, nimble and since they're a naked bike working on it is easier than with your average scooter. It's a low revving tractor of a bike. Not fast at all compared to modern bikes. It has 58hp I think. It shares it engine with the 1st gen Africa Twin. Plans? Ride it for now. Keep it stock, resist temptation of modding. Take it on moto-camping and weekend trips to the German Eifel, Ardennes, Luxembourg.

I never updated this thread so here we go. Like I said in the initial post, I wanted to take this bike on camping trips and just enjoy it to the max. Thats what I did last summer. Drove it through the Italian Alps, aka Sud Tirol. It was an awesome trip but the bike is not really comfortable for longer trips. Therefore it must go this spring. Already bought something else to replace it😎 Vosges area Eastern France Fuel pump contacts were giving me a hard time. The bike got starved of fuel constantly. Cleaned and lubed the moving parts and in the end I found the fuel tank pulling vacuum because of the tank bag sealing off the cap. It was such a good feeling this holiday. On the border of Switserland Switserland In the distance behind the river is tiny kingdom of Liechtenstein Hiked up a mountain And down again Here I crossed the Italian border. You can see the sign in the back telling you you are entering Italy. On top of the mountain pass is was quite chilly whearas down in the valley it was really hot. Never experienced something like that before. My first time in Italy The famous Stelvio pass in the background Beautiful views of the Italian Alps Vinyards everywhere On my way back somewhere in Bavaria (south Germany) I also rattle canned the rear fairing since it had a really bad DIY paint job. Came out pretty good.

Sweet little bikes. Kinda like an older sv650. Pods, a slip on, & jetting make a pretty nice improvement on the performance side.
