Hi All. I am New to the forum. I am looking for some advice regarding an Aerox 50cc 2013 moped i recently purchased. The bike was bought as a none runner and needing some work as it difficult to start and when it does start it goes to about 15mph and hits a flat spot and wants to stall. I took the head of the moped to see what size the piston is and after checking online the moped has had a 70cc top end upgrade fitted, one of the problems i now have is finding what make the upgrade is so i can fit a head gasket set to fit and way of telling what make it is would be great please. I can add photos if needed. My plan is to buy a new carb as i dont know what the previous owner has been doing to the carb. Any advice or pointing the the correct direction of what head gasket set i need would be grets thanks.

Hi. Cheers for the fast reply and help its really appreciated Yeah i am in the Uk. I am begining to thing what you have suggested with regards to getting a 50cc kit is a good idea as the 70cc kits thats currently fitted has no markings on at all im sure by the look of the exhaust that could be an aftermaket exhaust to/ Hopefully this will fit onto the 50cc kit i get?

It looks like a stock 50cc head on a 70cc barrel. Barrel looks like cast iron. I think its a cast iron Airsal kit. Look at the shape of the combustion chamber. The coolant connection on the cylinder will be the givaway. It's not a top perfomances trophy, they have markings on it. The stage 6 street has 49mm stamped on it. DR kit has 'DR' stamped on the side, so not that one either. Might be a cast iron Barikit.
