No sound coming from cvt with the cover off. I cleaned up the bearing and the housing it sits in. Threw the cover back on and the sound seemed to go away. At least just from spinning the rear tire on the stand. But in the video the belt seems to really be bouncing around. Is that normal? that front pulley is wobbling a whole lot. Check it out when its rpms are low, you can see it. I wasn't sure if it was early morning cold camera wobble though, or not. |

oh boy... not good if the engine has to come out of this thing. im not going to bother working on it. im just going to sell it or scrap it. i paid 300 dollars for the thing.

You might get by with a new fixed half, new star washer, new kickstart pawl and new nut. You will have to tighten it up real tight though, impact gun tight.

i have an impact. thats how i buzzed it off. looks like ill need a new variator fan or what ever that front fanned thing is. the nut that holds it on might be alright. seems like the star key and the fan piece are the issue. the crank is definitely marred up. You might get by with a new fixed half, new star washer, new kickstart pawl and new nut. You will have to tighten it up real tight though, impact gun tight. |

Ramp plate looks hosed too, and possibly the crank where the ramp plate rides. Replace all of it or nothing.

replace everything including the crank? Ramp plate looks hosed too, and possibly the crank where the ramp plate rides. Replace all of it or nothing. |

With those splines chewed up, like oldgeek mentioned you might be able to make it work if it's super tight, but the question is will it last? I'd say change out the crank. Yeesh, I'm sorry man, that sucks. |
