Both these batteries are only a few months old. Both will not take a charge and one is internally 'open'. I like sealed AGM batteries but these 'Xtreme' brand batteries are not so great. Attachments:

I have the same battery in my scooter now that i bought at battery plus almost a year ago and i have had no problems with it. Take them back if you bought them at BP.. you would still be covered under warranty.

No, it never has and i doin't have any "E-tra's" if you will, hooked up to my 50 4t scooter, and i use a BTender jr if needed.
Now the stock battery that came with my scooter did end up going bad due to the problem your having with your costumers battery's as mine tested at 12.5V after it was fully charged.(short in one of the cells)
Are the date code's the same for the one's you have? Did they charge them with a high amp charger (trickle charger set wrong) ?
Just a shot in the dark, but i have a feeling they charged them wrong or they got dropped and that caused a problem.
Now the gel battery's i seen would be a better bet, but all i found was a 12v 9AH and it was a bit to big (1/8") taller then what would fit in my scooter. Too bad too as it was the same price at the time i bought the one i have now.

Too bad too as it was the same price at the time i bought the one i have now. these were run down by customers whose bikes would not start. no attempt was made by either customer to charge them. both were put on my same ol 25 y/o motorcycle battery charger that ive charged hundreds of battires with and both are toast. An Xtreme brand battery might be great if never allowed to fully drain. once fully discharged they dont seem to recover well if at all.

unless its a deep cycle battery no battery will recover after being fully discharged
well that is unless you desulfate the battery some times you can let them sit on a trickel charger for about a week and they will be better then before but never the same as brand new

Not to sure about the all gel types, just the one i looked at was made for motorcycles. But regardless, they are still under warranty and that's a good thing for his costumers as they are not out the cost of a replacement battery, but he will more then likely fix the under lining problem that caused a No/hard start to begin with. If that happens to be the case.
