The R/T requires the milling out of the cases. While the racing doesn't. For pure performance the R/T would win. But both need a good crank, carb and exhausts to match them. The racing would be a better bet for the street. But both are not going to be great if you are riding in town or doing many miles.

I had a city 16 for the earlier version. Worked great with plenty of power for what I wanted. It's basically the same as the C16, but you can still use the centre stand. It's not cheap when you start adding it all up. With a good clutch, overrange kit, gears, crank, exhaust and a cylinder. I think it cost me about £800. And that was about 2010 prices.

I've never used that combo, but I rode with someone that had the air cooled MK2 and City 16. I forget off the top of my head, but it was a fairly small carb as well. I wanna say 19 or maybe 21mm PHBG. He didn't even have the OR kit. It had CVT parts, but still had electric start on a Yamaha Zuma. I was impressed with how well it went. The LC version on an Aerox should be even better, especially paired with a full OR kit and other goodies. If you don't care about a center stand, I'd prob go with the Carrera 16 just because it has no compromise and I don't think you'll have restrictors in that. The City 16 is likely just about as good, or some say they can't tell a difference, and it has an EU cert on it but has restrictors.

I would say save your money and get a reliable bike, but they ain't fun lol. if you're going down this route, I would also pair it with overrange, gear up, proper crank, bearings and seals, get the s6 clutch and clutch bell and all matching s6 parts, I find it pointless getting the cylinder if you're not going to pair it with it's matching branded parts to get the most power. welcome to the world of bottomless pit of money lol

It's still very patchy on what's available for scooter parts. Lots of stage 6 stuff seems to be very limited.

since COVID and recent strictions, there is waiting times for all brands now a days. Stage6 are the worst for keeping stock levels up, but again, stage6 don't make a lot of their products, they rebrand. don't get me wrong, they do their own R&D but they also commission the likes of Yasuni etc to make their products.
I just like stage6 as its one the brands you can really get most stuff for and it all works well together. like malossi pretty much make all their stuff inhouse and polini, unlike stage6 that is why stock levels are drastically embarrassing

They must sell a ton of the sports kits and street exhausts. I guess their priority must be on what makes money.
