Send it! I want to see a video of it ripping. Was going to take it for a spin around the block this afternoon but the rain hit 😭 Hopefully tomorrow! If any PWK bros have any suggestions on jetting, here is where I’m at now: - Polini PWK 24mm - 138 main - 50 pilot - needle at center notch (not sure which needle, whatever came with it) - mixture screw 2 turns out I know it’s hard to have anything worth suggesting before I even report back on how it runs but I figure peeps here might be able to say whether this seems ballpark or not. Also, I’m running 33:1 premix for break in, as Stage6 suggests.

Behold the ghetto stock airbox mod, brought to you by JB weld and a trip to Home Depot. Plan is to get this on the scoot asap and start jetting from there. Glad I got it running and idling well with the open carb but having a quieter setup is the end goal.

Very happy with the results of the ghetto stock airbox mod. I need to get some long bolts and spacers to get it properly mounted but it held on well at idle as is. definitely looks to be running globs richer this way versus the open carburetor but no surprise there. I think I can go down on the idle jet a bit just on the amount of smoke at idle alone. I let it idle for about 10-15 min and it didn’t reach over 130° cht. Also have been thinking about switching back to stock bars and clamshell to be able to run this cool euro speedo I got from scooter attack. I sold my stock bars on Facebook a while back but wish I had them.

Picked up some prebug bars for about $50, huzzah!
Also took the bike out today for a quick rip and yeah, its really rich with the stock airbox. It gets off the line and moving but if I near 3/4 throttle or above it gets a rich bog and loses power.
Just to test it, I took off the stock airbox and ran open carb (sorry neighbors) and she screams this way. Almost feels right on lol.
I might just pick up a cheap open air filter and say screw it haha.

Took it out for another rip without the filter and it’s probably 80% of the way there. I think I'll just grab an open filter and be that guy for a while.
Didn't want to go WOT too much and really for most of this video was only giving it 1/4 to 1/3 throttle. The way the larger PWK is so sensitive at lower throttle openings is wild compared to the smaller carbs.
Probably need to adjust the rollers and clutch spring preload a bit too. It gets up to 10.5k rpm and sometimes 11k but wants more.
This thing would be dangerous without upgearing for someone who doesn't ride these often or know what to expect. If you sit on it from a stop and casually twist to half throttle quickly, it comes right out from under you and the front wheel gets very light.
Hope yall like my little phone holder/foot peg mount LOL. Got a little close to the curb at one point going around a speed hump haha.

Took the bike out for another open air filter rip today and am very pleased with the new cylinder. It pulls so much harder than the polini sport. Took it pretty easy and only gave it WOT a few times. It seems to like 7/8th's better than full throttle so not sure what's going on there but when I get the NCY filter I ordered, I'm hoping I can begin to dial it in a bit better. It feels so responsive and snappy up until 7/8th's and then beyond that feels like it's falling flat a bit. Not sure if its running lean or rich on the main jet but temps the whole time I was out stayed in the upper 200's. Got back and figured I'd start to fiddle with the Torsen arm. I bought one a few weeks ago from scooter attack that's listed for the newer Boosters and was listed NOT to fit the older one. A facebook group member turned me onto it saying its the same part so I took the chance. I didn't forsee the Aerox wheels being an issue but they were since the spokes poke out so much so I haven't been able to carve out the time to fit the thing until now. I ordered a longer axle nut from Ottopuntouno and threw some spacers in between the Torsen arm and the case and voila... she fits, boys! Now, I'm not too sold on this without some input on how you guys feel about this (or even a thicker) spacer setup might work, but I'm just stoked that I was able to prove the newer polini part fits these older vertical cases. Next up will be figuring out how to fit the exhaust with this thing poking out so far. I might have to do some surgery on it.

That is a long way out. Is it going to give you a problem with the exhaust? My only worry would be is it going to put extra pressure on the exhaust case mounts.

Yeah I know, it sure is and it's going to make mounting the exhaust tricky. Half of me just took it this far to mock it up and see if the part actually fit and the bolt pattern lines up. The other part of me wants to see this through to the end and make it work. I had the same concern about it potentially breaking part of the case half but I have a plan. I have some 1/8 inch aluminum stock that I could use to create a spacer that is connected to each bolt hole, versus two individual spacers. I'll post some pictures of this idea a bit later.

I’m so busy at work atm (time of year) I just about have time to feed my self 😂 but I wanted to just say how nice this has turned out and that I’m following it in the shadows, well done!

Someone in one of the facebook groups posted these shots the other day. I really, really didn't want to spend any more money on wheels and tires but this has me feeling some type of way... This is what a 140 tire on a wide 13" wheel would look like on a prebug. www.scootertuning.ca/en/wheels-tires-rear-wheel/38049-wide-rim-kit-kiesler-4051272052323.html

Yeah they look so cool! You got to get them. I have the low profile tyres for the stock 10inch wheels and it makes the wheels look very different

That's not a prebug. That's a slider. Same vertical Minarelli engine though.

Here’s my idea LOL. I’ll definitely smooth things out with a dremel if I go this route but this *should* provide some extra rigidity? Be honest with me, boys… is this a lost cause or should I just send it?
