Help!

I was riding my 2021 TaoTao 50cc moped and clicked the starter by mistake while trying to park. I heard a loud click when I hit the button from the engine and now the moped won’t start at all. I see no oil leaking or anything that looks wrong. Any ideas what I can do? I need this bad it’s my only transportation to work or university.

Does it still start on the Kickstarter?
Probably need to take the CVT cover off. Then you can see what's going on. The starting bendix might of jumped out of place.

what do you mean? when you push the crank button does the engine spin, or is there silence? we need more clarity.

fyi, sometimes a faulty (stuck) starter can work if it's tapped with an object while it's energized. that's a common issue with electric motors.

I figured it out the electric starter went out. The kickstart still worked, and I got a new one that has been working great. Thank you guys!
